A weekend for you, an adventure for your child!
Designed for children and young people with disability and additional support needs, our weekends provide structured routines, meaningful activities, and a safe space to build confidence and connection — while giving families time to rest and recharge.
Our weekend respite gives children and young people the chance to enjoy new experiences, build friendships, and take part in meaningful activities in a calm and supportive home environment. Families can take a break knowing their child is spending time with a consistent team who take the time to understand their needs, routines, and interests.
We all know it takes a village to raise a child. At Respite with Linda, we believe it takes a village to support a parent, too.
Each weekend includes a balance of community outings, relaxed social time, home-based activities, and predictable routines. Children can take part in activities such as cooking, games, outdoor play, movies, and local adventures while building confidence in a small-group setting.
Our weekends are best suited to children and young people who benefit from a calm, structured environment and enjoy being part of a small group. We keep our groups intentionally small, with a strong focus on safety, consistency, and positive group dynamics.
Not sure if your child would enjoy a weekend with us? Linda is always happy to have a friendly chat before you decide.
Every weekend is carefully planned to support safety, wellbeing, and meaningful participation.
Clear systems ensure each child receives consistent, high-quality support every time.
Children are supported at their own pace, with encouragement — never pressure.
We review each weekend to continuously improve the experience for every child.
Activities are chosen with intention — not just to fill time, but to create positive moments.
Families receive thoughtful updates so you always feel informed and confident.
Linda and her team are wonderful with the children, they’re trained professionals who you can trust to keep your child/children safe. If it wasn’t for Linda and her team of staff, I would never get any sort of respite, have been using these services for quite a few years now. Keep up the great work and thank you for everything you do for my special little man.

My niece always comes home from a weekend with Linda with a big smile and loads to talk about. She feels very safe and can't wait for her next weekend away with Linda and the crew. She has made many friends and enjoys all the activities and little excursions.
– Tabatha
Many years ago, Linda's service saved our family. Overwhelmed by carer burnout and guilt, we managed to get some help with respite through suncare. Years later, RWL remains part of our (respite) family. ❤️

“They are so in tune with my grandson's needs and are so consistent with him. He enjoys his special time there and looks forward to his time with them. Thank you, Linda and family, for all your love and support.”

Our weekends include planned community outings, relaxed home-based activities, and routines that help children feel settled and confident.
We keep our groups small and thoughtfully matched so children feel safe, included, and supported throughout the weekend.
We take the time to get to know each child, their needs, their interests, and what helps them feel comfortable.
A weekend at Respite with Linda is planned, supportive, and flexible enough to meet the needs of the children attending. We focus on safety,
connection, confidence, and enjoyable experiences.
Tell us a little about your child and what support you are looking for.
