Book a Meet & Greet with Linda and the Team

A meet and greet gives your child and family the chance to visit our Morayfield home base, meet Linda and the team, ask questions, and see whether Respite with Linda feels like the right fit. Before a child attends weekend respite, we take the time to understand their needs, interests, routines, communication style, and how they usually manage in a small-group setting.

A gentle first step before booking weekend respite.

Why the Meet & Greet Matters

Before a child attends weekend respite, we want to make sure the environment, group setting, routines, and support model are suitable. The meet and greet helps us get to know your child and gives families the opportunity to ask questions before making a decision.

During the meet and greet, we will:

  • talk about your child’s needs, interests, routines, and communication style
  • discuss how your child usually manages in small groups
  • explain what a weekend at Respite with Linda looks like
  • show you the Morayfield home environment
  • answer questions about safety, meals, routines, activities, and availability
  • discuss whether our small-group weekend model is likely to be a good fit

Visit, Ask Questions, and See How It Feels

We know that choosing respite care is a big decision. A meet and greet allows your child to become familiar with the environment, meet the people who may support them, and begin building confidence before their first weekend.

It also gives parents, carers, and Support Coordinators the opportunity to ask questions and talk through what support may be needed.

“It's not just the children that thrive with you and your family, Linda – it’s their families, their parents, women who are supported, communities that benefit! You are just invaluable.”
Erin Carer

"Bless you Linda for the loving care given to children that others find ‘too hard’ and for the break it gives the families… Can’t recommend you enough to other parents of special kids… Speaking from experience here."
Arna Parent
